This course will teach the oldest and most accessible photographic processes. Students will learn to make cyanotypes, a 19th-century photographic process that prints in the sun and produces beautiful blue images. Students will learn about a variety of materials and techniques for making cyanotypes as they make their own prints. They will experiment with both abstract compositions made from found objects as well as print from negatives of images made by students. $20 material fee is due at first class. No Class 4/17
